MP3 Organising program?

I've got a lot of mp3s which are in a mess on my hard drive, I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a program that would organise them into folders by artist/album?

Crossing my fingers there is such a thing.

I find nothing more comforting than spending hours renaming and archiving hundreds of mp3's, one at a time.

realjukebox used to do it for you, as long as they're all tagged properly.

iTunes can do it but it organises them how itunes thinks it should be organised i think, no options.

Ahhh. That's the shit!

Chores ARE fun!

I got a neat little program to rename a batch of Mp3s based on ID3 tag information, or even batch-rename any of the ID3 tag values which is quite handy sometimes. I don't know about a program to automatically set up folder structure and things. The moral of this story is: be really anal when downloading music and rename all your files to adhere to your personal "system" as soon as you get them (for me, folder structure goes: Artist/Album/ and filename goes Track No. - Artist - Song.mp3).

If only I was as tidy and organised in REAL life..

I don't organise mp3s that I've downloaded, only mp3s that I've ripped. There probably will be a program out there that does it though.

if you can get hold of Realjukebox, that can definitely rearrange all your folder structure and everything for all files imported.

i might have the .exe on a disk somewhere.

Windows Media Player organises all my music for me, and renames too. I have:
AlbumArtist/Album/SongTitle.mp3
Only thing is i want Artist, not album artist (so various artist cds have songs put in each artists' folder... not all together).

WMP has the option to organise your library in options hidden in some dark cave where you must ask Garlock the Wizard's apprentice for a magic key to open it before wandering through the enchanted forest and mystical maze before finally finding the damn checkbox!
