Anyone play any games on line?
I always play Quake III arena when i get the chance to, also Command And Conquer on-line is class.

I used to play Duke Nukem 3D back in the day
It was more over a LAN though
Played it a few times over the net though, good fun

That and Quake 2
Couldnt be arsed going through all the big installation/setting up stuff for the other games
Tried playing Half-life once, didnt work

Medal of Honour (allied assault) Its a bit more realistic than the likes of Quake and Half-life but i prefer this. It means you jump like shit though. Anyone else play MOH?

it is indeed a class game on the PC. its pretty authentic. i think Return to Castle Wolfenstien is good. But Quake 2 imo is the best online game for pick up and play.

I'm waiting to see how Sony use their network to its fullest. wouldnt mind playing some Japanese dude on the other side of the planet at GranTurismo 3

I used to play an add-on for Half-Life called Counter-Strike - was fucking awesome, until all the Americans started to take it far too seriously and create "pro athlete gaming leagues". Hardly athletic is it?

Yeah Counter-Strike's good, along with Team Fortress Classic and Day of Defeat, which are also top quality Half-Life Mods. Age of Empires 2 is also really good online and Return to Castle Wolfenstein aswell if you have broadband.

Team fortress classic is fantastic. Sadly there are too many anal retentive sad bastards on the servers. They whine if you use a certain class, they whine if you use a certain weapon, they whine if you don't give them 1 months notice before you shoot them. That applies to a lot of online games sadly.

People that think n00b is an insult really need to get a shag IMO. "oh teh nos!! I am not teh skillz at teh tfc!!1!! and thta is improtant in teh reeal world!11!

Its an online RPG set in a persistant world. You can build your charcters and get a house. your character can be a fighter, mage, blacksmith, fisherman,shopkeeper if you want it. Check out Official site or Best fan Site

I still play it occasionally, but if someone whines, then i just start repeatedly doing whatever annoyed them out of spite. I'm evil that way. I have no time for people who think they can dictate how other people play the game. It seems every few months the kids arbitrarily make up something new that's "cheap", even though it somehow hasn't been considered cheap, for the previous four or so years that Team Fortress Classic has been out. Apparently now it's cheap to run to the enemy base, and then follow an and kill the enemy player on their way to your base. God forbid someone should actually not let the other side win.
