go to:
C:\Documents and Settings\**Your username**\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch (if application Data doesnt show up, you can just stick the rest in the address bar) then create a new text file. edit it in notepad and paste this in: Code:
[Shell] Command=2 IconFile=%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,34 [Taskbar] Command=ToggleDesktop Alternatively, you can just use Start Key + D to show desktop. |

which solution was it you needed? Lynnie's or mine? Mine was for if the shortcut had actually been deleted. Alternative to lynnie's, you can right click the taskbar and select toolbars, then tick quick launch.

yep, just right click the taskbar and go to toolbars >> new toolbar
then if you right click it and untick show title and show text, it looks and works just like the quick launch bar. you can also drag folders to the side of the screen and create a whole new taskbar for them. I used to have My Computer and My Documents down each side and on auto-hide. |
