.avi files

For some reason my pc won't play these files properly, I've changed the properties windows media player to support them but all I get is sound

I've also downloaded a program called video lizzard which claims to be an avi player but still won't play them.

Can anyone recommend something that will play them?

soreted all ready, turns out i didnt have codec or something along them lines

for future reference I'd recommend everyone downloads videolan as a media player, it has it's own built in codecs, and also defilerpak, the best pack around, it will play almost everything.
