Dvd >> Mpeg

has anyone got any knowledge/info on how to convert DVD files(.VOB) to MPEGs?

You can use fairuse or autoGK to convert them to 1cd or 2cd size XviD avi files. not sure about mpegs though.

you can use sony vegas to capture and edit the files then render them in pretty much any format you like !!..takes a lil longer to capture from a dvd than it does a digicam...

unless you've allready got it on a dvd camcorder.. in which case.. no ripping required.. just do a straight capture and roberts your mothers brother !

alternatively .. if your goin the other way .. you can use vegas too but i prefer to use dvd santa to encode mpegs, avi to .iso files it's pretty good likes !

since we're on the topic i also use smartripper to crack the coding on bought dvd's *strictly for backing up purposes !*...i think it breaks down the region coding too which is sound !
