.avi to video dvd. HELP!
Evenin/mornin folks. Was wondering if anyone can recommend a program that will either let me burn avi files straight to video DVD, or convert them to file types my Nero supports (.bup, .vob and .ifo)...?
Please note, this is so that I can burn a series of documentaries I filmed (which include "Dundee's Greatest Phoneboxes" and "Time for Kerbs!"), and has absolutely nothing to do with the episodes of Lost that myseriously found their way on to my PC. Obviously I would do my utmost to obtain said program in an entirely legal way... |

Google ( or P2P search ) for a program called "DVD Santa", i shit you not, this is a really good and basic program, it isnt an authoring one tho, so it makes a DVD that will just instantly play the movie, no menu's etc, but the DVD's work on DVD players and even XBox and PS2's !

How is it for burning multiple movie files to the same DVD? Each episode of L...I mean each documentary is only 300-400meg, 42-45 mins long so I'm assuming I could fire a few onto the same disc...?

To maintain a decent quality you'll only get about 4 300-400mb files onto one DVD. DVD Santa, avi2DVD, or NeroVision can all do this. All these programs sometimes suffer from audio sync issues when burning multiple files to one DVD though, so be warned.

if your using dvd santa .. use fuck all else...just let the comp run away untill after it's converted and you've burned your dvd...also upgrade your memory if possible. i allways select ntsc format for my conversions too... i find it helps with the sound slipping most cheap dvd players will run ntsc coded dvd's allthough the ps2 disnae like them ! i only get slippage now if it's some dodgy sound license on the mpeg or avi |
