On monday night, the logic card in my PowerMac G4 blew.

So, instead ive had to buy a new computer. £300 for a Dell PC.

Im really goning to miss my old Mac, mind you it was 6 - 7 years old and it had to die sometime.

You'll find your PC struggling to run those mate. I had them on a 2 grand custom built PC at my last job and it really messed up my system resources and caused random freezing.

Feel freee to give it a go though as the software may have been tweaked to remove those bugs.

Have a search around for some open-source software that does the same thing. It might run a bit quicker

it's pretty easy to get windows XP looking almost exactly the same as a Mac. I've got mine setup like that at the moment - I'll post screenshots and links to software later, not at home right now. I love the look of macs but I use my computer for games mostly so buying a mac would be a bit stupid (nevermind expensive).

I had mine looking Lig Mac OS X 10.4 using stuff like Rainlander. I found it a bit buggy at innopertune (*spelling) times.

So wiped it clean.

you can change the visual styles and stuff without needing to run a 3rd party program all the time by downloading a cracked uxtheme.dll, it's much easier if that's all you want to change.

this could be a bad sign, i have a G4 quicksilver and this must be pretty much same age.

is this a common thing with G4 towers?
i love the way mac OS X 10.4 works, i also love all my crazy widgets i can make pop up at any second. anyone useing 10.4 should download the widget called "sloth cam" very cool.
