Problem playing music through iTunes

up til last night i've had no problems whatsoever, but i updated to the new Version 7 last night, but also installed Nero as well about an hour and a half after, since then when i try to play anything in iTunes the sound skips and crackles, even if i leave it and dont try and do other things with my computer it just sounds shite!

thankfully winamp seems to be unaffected, i tried a system restore to before i installed both programs but i'm still having the same problem, although i did have to reinstall iTunes v7 after the restore, but i haven't touched Nero.

anyone got any ideas what could be up? i've gotten quite used to using iTunes now and want to keep using it!

it's iTunes7 - there's a load of problems with it, the problems range for different people, some people are affected really badly like you and some not at all, I'm somewhere in the middle, it messes up the sound when my computer's busy but not most of the time.

You could try finding a v6.2 install file or something or just use winamp or media player until they fix it.

its cool, i removed all the songs from the library and the re-added them. seems to have fixed it.
