problems already?
I'd recommend you get Automatix, all you need to do is stick these 3 lines into the command prompt Code:
wget http://www.getautomatix.com/files/automatix-installer chmod 755 ~/automatix-installer ./automatix-installer and a handy tip: if you select something (like my code up there) then middle click on another text box, instant copy/paste. so just highlight the first line, then middle click on the terminal window and hit enter ![]() Automatix will appear in your Applications//System Tools menu once it's installed. also: if you're looking for a media player, I find amaroK does everything I need from a media player, even built in support for last.fm. to install: Code:
sudo apt-get install amarok Last edited by Rebelius : 3rd October 2006 at 06:40 PM. |

I booted Ubuntu from the CD and it worked great. I'm tempted to install it on my laptop and have it dual booting but I'm still a bit nervous about doing that.
I'd really like to mess about with the Ubuntu Server version though, that's more what i'm interested in.
