you can betch doom3,halflife2 will be online with xbox
and halo2 is definately!
imagine whoping them aliens we yer mates driving the jeeps for you etc......
Online play slows due to your connection rather than Machine, unless you have a shitty little machine that can't cope with fog or other hard effects in which case you and only you will have slowed play.

And PC's are definitely better since all console games are buggy at some point or another and PC's can just fix these with small downloads here and there, patches also contain new stuff only available upon the patches release, ie you may get Xbox Half-Life with 16bit graphics and smaller textures whereas PC's will get the same, tho after the months pass and PC's get allround beefier the Games Designer will release a patch with maybe 32bit graphics and better detailed textures. This is always the done thing. Not to mention Mods as kj mentioned, HL2 will give breath to CounterStrike2 and hopefully TeamFortressClassic2 and DayofDefeat2 etc but you guys will get nada :P

Think I'll save me Xbox money and just buy some beefy things for me PC :P

True to a large extent IMO, but I wouldn't agree that console games are more buggy then PC games. One of the reasons PC games are buggy is they don't have to go through as much testing to be released. Console games have to pass a rigorous series of checks at the console manufacturer in order to be published, whereas PC games only have to be accepted by the publisher.

comparison between HL and HL2

check out the attatchment!

the image on the left is from the original Half Life game and the one on the right is from the new Half Life 2 game! looks like the recent amazing advance in grahpics technology has allowed the developers to create something special.

If you're impressed by that, you should check out the video on fileplanet. They show the character animation in action. Apparently they have 40 muscles for the face alone which allows it to talk and form realistic facial expressions. Looks very realistic
