xbox down to £129

has anyone bought one due to the recent price reduction? its lookin mighty tempting, but i dont have cash left. Has anyone gone out and bought one and if so, what games did you get?

yep im tempted, or yo ucan get it for £150 with 3 games : blkinx, sega gt, and some other racing game i think. so thats 3 games for an extra 20 quid ^_^.

thats not bad, but i'm not into racin games, i like action and adventure with an RPG / Puzzle twist. lol.

Is it dwon purely on the basis that the PS2 is out-selling it? I think it's better anyway- i love my ps2!

iv got both purly for the reason that you cant get some games on one or the other

Bought the xbox for halo,jedi outcast2 etc

realy just depends what games you want to play!

Going to buy a cube when their right down in price,that will go nicely with my

i do get out for a fair few drinks,play with the band and my fiancee lets me play games when shes busy with her uni work.

I loved the idea of the Xbox, despite the fact it weighs a cubic tonne, is bigger than it looks on telly (think... cubic tonne) and the game's are so cheap some people might own upto 4 of them before the Xbox 2 comes out in a few years.

I'd so love to own a console that I'd own 4 games for, that's Super.. smashing... great.

Virgin have em in. Saw em today and was very tempted to buy one. The green box looks wicked smart. Does anyone know exactly how many of them are being made? Be interesting to see just how limited the boxes are.

I would imagine kj mate that for the wee Virgin shoppe in dundee to have not just 1 but a few of them that they must not be that limited in fact.

But that's obvious really since the Xbox is the biggest console in the history of consoles (strike 1), and everyone who wants one would have bought one already 14 months ago when they launched (strike 2) and that they are selling enough consoles on the strength of Halo alone (strike 3.) This leads me to the fact that just about anyone in any of the above 3 criteria to own one, already does so!! Even if they make 32 billion special green consoles, only the people without a bog standard Black one will buy it, hence... special edition, limited stock, show off to yer mates, galore. And the rich people who get either a pony or 5 grand worth of microsoft shares for Xmas will get a green one anyway to show off to Cuthbert and Perciville at the village dance.

well, i was watchin Game Pad on sky and they did an slot about antique hardware and said that if anything is going to be worth anything in the future then it must be different and limited. The current generation of consoles are going to be worth nothing in the future because they are so mass produced. If this green version of the x-box isnt mass produced, then it may be an investment in the future? I'll keep looking and once i know the number of consoles to be made i'll post that here.

My Dreamcast is starting to make whistling sounds now, and I only really bought that cos my Atari VC2600 started crashing during pacman.

Nice! The green version looks much better than the normal version, looks just like the debug kits.
