Help with vista?

I recently bought a pc with windows vista which came with norton anti virus plus lots of other computer andf internet security things, etc.

Problem is I can't download anything at all, I've went through internet security options, norton anti virus and everything and still can't enable downloads at all, Anyone have any ideas????

any help would be much appreciated

when you say you've went through Norton, what have you actually done? I'd disable Norton completely (well, actually I'd just get rid of it) and see if that does anything.

I've been running vista a few months now with no AV or Firewall and not had any problems at all.

I changed all my internet settings to enable downloads, but christ knows what happened to that. I managed to solve the problem just by resetting internet explorers settings and ignoring all of the norton warnings that they were'nt set safe
