Free Web Hosts

Can any give me the url of any really good free web hosts! I been searching for hours the past few weeks to find one but I cant find anything suitable!

Preferably we need:

around 100mb's
no file size upload limit
a decent amount of monthly data transfer
the ability to upload mp3's directly on to the site
the ability to upload mpegs directly on to the site
and it has to be free!!!

If anyone knows of any that could do that for us then it would be muchos appreciated if you could give us their web address!

Hmmm your biggest problem is the amount of web space you want. If you're storing 100mb you'll realistically be wanting to transfer that amount regularly, which isn't cheap. And you're not going to get it for free today. Your best bet is to pitch in with some other bands and look for a host who allows Multiple Domain Name Pointers . Alternatively you could look here

I saw Simply ( one of the top ten hosts ) have a package which might work for you, costing 5.99 a month ( although you'll probably have to pay the £70 - odd up front) If this one doesn't suit there's loads more on the above site. If you need any advice on a specific host just give me a shout.

I found a pretty good one at last! Tripod! 50megs, no file size limit or file type limit! Only thing is an annoying banner that randomly pops up but I can deal with that!

I12 used to do that for me

except i had 500mb of space. i only stopped using them because they didnt have any server side languages installed.

its a pain to get into it and set up, but once you do, its a safe bet like. i'm thinking about reactivating my account with them.

I'm such a dumbass! I just found the perfect web host right under my fuckin nose! At the uni when you log into the computers theres a folder in your my documents called web and anything you put in there goes on the unis web site! Its perfect theres no ads, 100megs space, no file size limit or file size type! Everyhting I asked for!

I'll check out i12 anyway coz I wont be at uni for ever!

i thought the uni's stoped givin out free web space cos the students were buildin web pages tryin 2 sell things so they stoped it. i think the only time u can use it is for course work but u could still give it a try

chris, i know thats the policy at abertay because i enquired about storing www.paperbitch.co.uk there.

bloody greedy students spoiling it for everyone. other uni's are probably still letting students do it though.

with ftp access
and supports zip mp3 wav mpeg files
