Virus help
I downloaded a DivX file to run a video and I was lucky enough to get some Trojan virus from it. I have tried Norton, Ad-Aware and the free scan from Avast! but nothing is getting rid of it, anyone have any ideas at all?

What's the name of the trojan? There are specific tools out there to remove specific threats.
Alternatively, Panda and McCafee also do free online scans, or you could download AVG antivirus and try that. |

yeah, if you can put in here the specific name of the Trojan there will be a way to remove it.
My mate had a trojan on his PC that no anti-virus or spyware app could remove. By putting in the name of the trojan into google a found a site that had an application specifically made to remove it. Worked a treat. |

Ah, I remember the days when I used to have to worry about Trojans and malware.....it was when I had a PC.

the main factor was probably that I was sharing it with my little sister and mum. but yeah, you can get nasties on linux/mac, but you'd have to be even more stupid than you would to get them on a Windows PC. |

Basically you have to be the biggest idiot ever to get one because you not only have to log as root to install it but you need to change the properties to allow it to run as a program in the first place
