Anyone play it? I bought it when it first came out, and I was totally disappointed. Been getting into it recently though, it's really rewarding when you put the time into it.

Joe! We should play online sometime! My monkey isn't much of a fighter, but he's SO lovely and he'll probably feed your creature. He dances CONSTANTLY too

Black and white is a class game. I don't like the constant babysitting you have to do for the villagers if you want to be good, but other than that it's a class game. Setting fire to the villagers is great fun. Teaching your creature to do evil things is also fun

I used to have a really cool tiger but I lost it when I reformatted.

i had a tiger too, i left it running over night one time and the next day he was in a complete strop and wouldn't obey me and was terrorizing the villagers and throwing them out to see and throwing stuff at them. i was quite amused.

i always found throwing your villagers over the landscape to be a great way of relieving stress
but i always felt bad when i hit my creature
just got a heart of gold

I thought it was great when I started playing it then got bored real fast. Suppose I really should start again to give it a second go, I was expecting this great AI system, and never got it

Yep there's a sequel in development. It looks fantastic (www.bwgame.com)

I agree the game was a bit of a let down in some ways but it more than made up for it. There's nothing better than raining down fire, rocks, and lightning on helpless villagers, and then watching the comedy ensue when you teach your creature to do the same. Muahahaha

I've just started playing Black and White again. Currently training up my tiger. Going to take my time this time and teach it all the miracles I never bothered to teach it the first time.

It kept picking people up and throwing them away.

I tried to play with the cow and ape, but they just weren't as cool as the tiger. I kept beating the crap out of them because they annoyed me so much. In the end I decided to get a tiger instead.
