anyone know of anything similar that works fine with vista?

something that isn't limewire.

Is soulseek a bit torrent tracker? I'm not sure. You could always try and get a waffles account.

I don't know if it is now, but it wasn't when I used it a few years ago. It was more of a napster style program

yup, im using soulseek on vista 32 right now

not sure about vista 64

Im on 64 and it works fine - I only use it every now an then when I can't find stuff on usenet though.

I was just going by this...

"Windows XP service pack 2/Windows Vista users: microsoft has instated a limit on the number of concurrent connection attempts in these versions of windows which may adversely affect the performance of the soulseek client. for information and solutions to this problem, please refer to the following forum thread."

But then I was using it before on XP SP2 without any problems.

I'll give it a go.

if you have SP2, you'll also have the TCP/IP limits.

you CAN change them, but id advise against it, it really doesnt help much.
