Fire Alarm On Saturday night
It was brought to my attention by the club owner on Saturday night that the fire alarm was set off from the rear fire exit of cage.
There was also a function upstairs so we cannot be sure that it was anyone from cage that set it off. If someone from cage did set it off, firstly i'd like to applaude your maturity, then i'd like to applaude your sense of humor, lastly i'd like to applaude your total lack of awareness of the CCTV camera that covers the back fire door. If someone from cage went through those doors then we have them on tape, and they will recieve a ban, which will not be overturned at any point! The rear fire doors are for STAFF ONLY. They arent somewhere to go off to with a girl or guy you pulled, or somewhere to have a seat. If you have any idea of the amount of work it takes to evacuate 4 venues in less than 5 minutes and the number of fire engines that were on the way down before the owner could call them off. Then you would realise just how dangerous shit like that really is! Just when the club seems to be settling down something else happens to put things off balance. I can only hope that it was someone from upstairs and that everyone in cage would be more mature than to do something that stupid. |

Yea, that was bloody annoying, wasting a good 20 mins of prime cage time.
But was good to see everyone managed to get out quickly and orderly. |

I have to appluade one young lady (who will remain nameless) who refused to leave as she was mid pee!
Situations like that are good because they highlight problems in the communication structure within the venue. Glad it was a false alarm though as id hate to see the place burn |

Well obviously you know far better than me, as you work there! But it seemed as though most folk where getting out as quick as possible - you have to remember those stairs are pretty narrow!! It could have been chaos if everyone was rushing! CRUSH! ouch. |

Once outside it was quite amusing how easy it was to tell what people had been in what part of the building.
Also, did anyone find a pair of glasses that night? My friend lost her glasses at some point during the fire alarm. They are female glasses and are purple. |
