i don't mean to be rude but i actually like veruca salt and know when i hear a veruca salt song so i'm still not convinced. i was also present during the set list and remember having a conversation at the time about the song being republica and i don't remember it sounding like a cover.

I haven't heard any Verruca Salt, but as soon as it came on i knew the song and it was the girl's whiney voice. I haven't heard any other version or cover of this song, i'm not saying that there isn't i'm just saying that if it wasn't Republica then i would have known, cos it would have sounded different to me, but it didn't!

Actually, i'm listening to "Veruca Salt's" version of Drop Dead Gorgeous right now and it is Republica, I think it's a case of some random American heard it, didn't know who it was so just put Veruca Salt before s/he put it on a fileshare program!
