Fopp

How great is fopp? Their popular fiction section is a great place to pick up a bargain. Today I just picked up a book which should be 13bucks for 3. Having standard prices of 3,5,7 for books means you can go in with 10bucks to spend on books and just pick and choose.

Must not go in as often as I do

Their book prices are usually pretty good. On a number of occasions, I've bought books elsewhere as gifts, only to see them appear in Fopp at half the price a few weeks later. Good bargains for other people though!

I noticed they were doing a lot of Smiths/Morrissey CDs for a fiver when I popped in yesterday. I think I'll probably go back and get quite a few of them as all my Mozzer stuff is on vinyl or cassette. *old person alert*

Love FOPP for everything it sells. The books are great tho. To keep up with my Christopher Brookmyre love I can get his books dirt cheap in there rather than shelling out more than double the price in Blackwells or whatever.

I should stop going in as often as I do too...

I got the Plague by Camus for three squid a couple of days back, which is excellent, although it's always a nightmare if you need a SPECIFIC book because they almost never have what you're looking for. still, I always end up buying something and it's almost always a good read.

aye, I got a few bargins in there myself. I used to pop along every other weekend, it was handy when I worked down there. I don't go in very often now seen as I don't work down down in the quay anymore

Fopp is amazing though, I can always pick up at least one gem of a book everytime I go in there

I went in today and looked at their books. They've got the new chuck palahniuk book 'Non-Fiction' for £7. It's brand-ass new and it probably kicks ass, and £7 is the rrp anyway so it's not bad at all. I also managed to get The Football Factory (book) for £3!

it used to be fantastic for finding cheap cds but the prices have crept up over the last few years.
