i did romeo and juliet...and i really cannot remember the other one
in romeo and juliet the BEST character to study in total depth is capulet
everysingle question can be answered by talking about capulet relationship with juliet....and of course his wife
it makes things really easy as he as very few quotes and they are all easy to remember
i got an A

I'm doing King Lear and Hamlet for my essay in Advanced Higher, Heaney is only if i really really have to or the question is easy as fuck cos I really don't like the poems much and paid more attention to the teacher who taught us Shakespeare.

I need a C to get into Bournemouth but don't need to pass it to get into RGU so it looks like I'm heading up north since my dissertation was hideously short.

Started learning my quotes a night or two before and it took about a total of two hours.

Ended up with an A - higher english is a piece of piss.

Eugh Eugh Eugh. I can't stand Thomas Hardy. When I was doing my AH English we studied King Lear + Hamlet as our plays, Tess + Mayor of Casterbridge as our novels and John Donne and a couple of other metaphysical poets for the poetry section. I really liked AH english apart from the novel section.

the questions you answered your essays on straightforward i assume? i hope i'll do alright, but if i dont get any questions then itll be pretty bad, if the question isnt straightforward then it can be hard to make reference to how it can be answered in relation to the text.

... if that makes sense

So yeah... my RPR I get an estimated 'A'. My Imaginative Essay I get an estimated 'A'. I fucking nailed the exam. (Afterwards - I went over the exam paper with a friend and we both wrote pretty much exactly the same thing - we would have been worried we'd get busted for cheating but we were at opposite sided of the exam hall)

My friend gets: 'A'
I get: 'C'

Bollocks. This was the year that hundreds of exam results got totally buggered up. To this day I'm still waiting for the grade to be changed.

I got a C in higher english last year, and i cant understand it either. I felt i did really well, and came out feeling extremely pleased with myself. Obviously i was wrong.

eeek..shit that you dont get any study leave before english..i came off on study leave yesterday (mon 9th) and have 2 weeks at end of study leave to do what i want!!!

i dont like the way english is in school..i hate it how there is a right and wrong way to interprate (spelling!?) passages..i usually get the toally wrong idea and its not what the fucking exam board is looking for. i'm only doing int 2 this year then higher in the next year..can not wait.. i do think its good to spread it over 2 years tho.. you end up knowing a wee bit more than the higher folk
