Lightyear
i just heard this at the end of the lightyear album and decided to type it out for you, as i think its pretty important...
----------------------------------------------------- well this is the end, i find this really hard to do i love being in a band, theres nothing like performing and playing live and meeting people, but sometimes it all gets a bit too much, for a few months we were surviving on 3 pounds a day, thats 3 portions of chips, and whatever we could steal off the big headline band... spending that much time with other people is a bit of a headfuck to say the least, the point of this song was to say as well as seeing hundreds of venues last year we also saw hundreds of kebab shops, and that touring can be very mentally and physically tiring, its weird, normally on tour after a few weeks im so tired im like a zombie and lose the ability talk to anyone, i consider myself not to communicate with anyone, i try but shit comes out with absolutely no conviction whatsoever... i think that people think we make absolutely loads of money cos were 'in the band', and i know it sounds like a ( ? ), but dont ask me to buy you a beer cos im 'in the band', cos im skint... but id be happy to steal one from OPM if you want... this is a complete ramble by the way and i think that when Householdname hear this they'll be like 'what the fuck is chas doing?'. but i would like to say thanks for coming to all our shows, and i really dont understand how the band that was playing in Jims garage that was singing down some headphones on a bamboo pole in front of 2 viewers, jims dog and his sister, could play in front of 2000 people. I'm writing this 5 minutes before I make the recording. I'm so slack... ----------------------------- thats pretty much the jist of it.... wadya think? lol
