You just happen to be reading a reply from Dundee's leading pie/fast food authority.
Dundee Pie shop is on the Hilltown at the end of Stirling St. My opinion ? In a word - CRAP. The people who own are nice enough but the food is bland and kept hot and drying out all day. Now, if you were to find yourself on the Hilltown with a rumbling belly, get yourself 50 yards further up the road on the opposite side to Norma's Snack Bar. Food freshly made to order, bright and cheery inside, cheap prices and most important of all - The food is excellent. Try the chicken curry with rice - LOVELY ! |

Utter pish! Norma can't compete with Rosebank bakery famed for it's hot wares supplied at Dundee FC matches. In fact if Norma even tried to compare her Bean pies to Rosebank's more modern Potato and Bean pie she'd fall flat on her puss.

I live directly across from the Dundee pie shop... i went there once when i moved in and the bacon roll i got was fucking horrible... plus all the folk that work there look horrible and scabby as fuck... so i shant be going back there again... me and my flatmate pelt them from my window with a bb gun.. its fun..
i agree Norma's is good but i also like that little place across from the college on constitution road! it does ace chicken mayo and spring onion rolls |

Norma's sells Nicolls pies anyway, and although the mince pies are a bit greasy I find them very tasty and the grease helps it slide down your throat better ![]() The wee shop on the conshy offer some EXCELLENT fillings, a personal favourite of mine is the chicken, bacon & mushroom roll. Yum yum. They can be a bit expensive though. Another nice wee snack shop is the one on peddie st. but steer clear of Clarkies around the corner...... ok, it's open 24 hours but food is tastless and bland, like they use the cheapest ingredients or something. Where else is there....... Oh the wee shop on South Tay st is pretty good, last time i got a cheeseburger the roll wouldn't close for the amount of cheese on it. Christ I'm making myself hungry here |
