In response to the above defence of Bollocks i whole-heartedly believe that there is no defence of the forum anymore! It was a an interesting diversion while it lasted but now its time for it to be replaced.

Thats not to say that we should just through the whole apple away. What i'm saying is that we could maybe bring in an Intoductions forum for new members to meet / greet other newbies and more established members. Or how about other specialist forums on subjects other than music or.....well...shite?

Its just getting to the stage that Bollocks is an incestuous mess that is uncomprehensible and certainly not the image that i wish to present to perspective members. Especially as i am trying to promote the site at the moment!

if you take away bollocks, the shite will spread through everything. as was the reason for setting up bollocks.

but by putting all the shite in one particular place it reduces the amounts of crap which build up on other forums. If we get rid of bollocks.. these types of threads are gonna pop up on the more serious forums. By labelling them and presenting them as irrelevant.. we give users the choice of whether or not to subject themselves to it.

bollocks was introduced as more of a rubbish bin than a place for discussion.. where irrelevant threads get moved and pish is talked.

Its like legalised prositution!.. we cant stop it form happnning .. but we can curb and control it

I just believe that the moderators should do their jobs properly!

We are all on here often enough so why are we not a little more responsible for what after all are our forums? Our job is to put unsuitable or irrelavent posts in the rubbish bin not to actively encouraged unwanted posting by giving it a place to thrive!

I can see what your saying Davey but honestly did you never envisage a time when our members would not get sick of this contentious forum? Really i think its had its day but it has given us a lot of good ideas that we as moderators, members and street team co-ordinators can build on and hopefully attract members to the site with. Plus we can also encouage some of our members to make a worthwhile contribution to this MUSIC forum instead of creating destructive tangents!
