Is Guerrero getting a main event push?

Eddie Guerrero just 6 weeks ago was on top of the world. Following his very good 4 way defence against Rhyno, Benoit and Tajiri at Summerslam as a heel he came to Smackdown in his home town to a Hulk Hogan-esque ovation and looked like a true star. He appeared in about half the segments and had a great match against Cena. It was truly a brilliant edition of Smackdown and a career high for the talented Guerrero. In the following weeks he's also defended against Cena in a great Parking lot Brawl and won the Tag Team titles. He was the most over person on Smackdoon and had the gold, crowd response and great matches to prove it. Now he's titleless and being jobbed to the Bashams and the Big Show. However could this just be to free him up for a crack at Brock Lesnar's big one? Let's look at Lesnar's main opposition. Top Face talent is really only Benoit, Angle, Guerrero and Taker. Angle and Benoit look as though they are entering what should be a great continuation of their feud and Taker has devalued the title by opting for a fight with Vince rather than a shot at the belt that we're told he respects so much. So top face talent for Brock to face at Survivor Series? Well the only man left surely is Guerrero and I think he truly deserves a shot at the belt and yes even win it. I hope WWE dont do the ridiculous and enter Holly into a feud with Lesnar when they have a great talent like Guerrero to put in there. The top line needs some fresh faces in there to mix it up a bit and I think Eddie can deliver.

So go on Eddie! Viva La Raza!
