Why is it...
people will like music because everyone else is listening to it? I mean...fair enough, if someone tells you a band is good, you'll download a track or buy an album and then thats two people listening to it. But, I mean, look at all the poppy channels, MTV, The Box, TMF etc. Lots of people who are into this music won't even try to listen to a different type of music, I used to do it, I'd be like..."Ooh, no I'm not listening to that, it's not my kind of music!" Well, y'know, who cares, you can't stick to one type of music forever and if a few people say, eg..."Funeral for a Friend are shit, listen to Slayer"...I'm not gonna turn round and agree just because a few people say so. So generally, why do people think that because there's a craze of a certain type of music around, they have to change their style COMPLETELY, and not still listen to some of the same bands as well as the new craze? I mean...I know loads of people wouldn't, but its just a thought.

i think in a lot of cases the fact that the music is good (in the listeners opinion) and thrfore they buy it, and if many people like it then many people will buy it - thrfore a craze begins
i dont like to think that everyone changes thr tastes to be popular (cept the case of maybe 12year olds teeny boppers (no offence intended)) plus the fact that no one can control the way that ther music tastes change... ive gone through many in my time(how sad do i sound) anyway yeh - i think its more about the music then the fact that everyone is listening to it ![]() |
