does anyone here have one or have had one? and how are they to look after? i have the opportunity to get my hands on one but i dont want to end up with something that eats me up.

get it, take it to a chinese take away, ask them to fry it..then eat it. better than fuckig having a spider as a pet, your not a enid blyton child you know?

did you know that there are tons of poisonous spiders in britain but they can't hurt you because their mandibles are too weak to pierce human skin?

ps get a tarantula they sound cool +spooky. plus you can feed cats to it.

My uncle used to keep them and from his experience I can offer you two bits of advice:

1. get the fucker devenomised if it isnt already

2. if it escapes tell the people who visit you so that for example I as a 5year old am not in a house with escaped tarantulas that were only found 4 weeks later

also feeding them live crickets is the coolest thing ever, I say go for it man, mind you I would have got garter snakes years ago if I had room so maybe Im biased in that i like creepy crawlies

Yeah go for it, tarantula's rule. BUt be sure people like your girlfriend and mates aren't gonna stay away cos of it. And only get it if u can afford a decent tank for it, don't shove it in a little thing.

you sick sick man kj, my bro had one and the wee fucker escaped and it ran all over the house and it was eventually caught in my room, i shat bricks my man! but yeah i agree wi alan, seeing them take a cricket or whateva apart is quite cool, reminds me of the scene from road trip

funny you should say that actually. The flick hairs in your eyes which cause a variety of side effects. Not nice so i'm told. i wouldnt try n shave it.

I am shit scared of spiders, have been ever since i was young, was playing hide and seek. I was hiding in this bush, when i went to itch my hand, i looked at it and saw this really big orange spider. Needless to say i ran out of the bush screaming!
