Mad Cow disease in America

so, the Yanks have had their first case of MCD, what should the rest of the world do? The French banned British meat, as did the Americans. Do you think this time Britian will see this as getting its own back on the Americans?

Or perhaps it could be some form of terrorist attack? I've seen threads on other boards resorting to this conspiracy theory so i just wanted to see what you thought...

well from what i heard many countries have already closed their borders to american beef

apparently in 10 years of testing this is the first case they've had, which must be considered to be quite impressive. my brother drove through the burning carcasses a copla years back when he was working n bournemouth and it was meant to be damn horrible.

whatever the politics, its horrible that the animals suffer in this way.

agreed. can you imagine if it was a human epidemic, or pandemic and we had to be subjected to the same form of treatment? It'll be interesting to see how the Americans handle it and if they go the same route as Britain did.

Did you know that there is a warrant allowing police to isolate infected ( with any form of disease) people? now thats a fact.

thats what happened with SARS isn't it? i can totally agree with it if its for a greater common good. so long as the ppl are still treated in a humane fashion
