Nightshift
it's 7.40am... i have just finished work for the day, it feels weird, it feels like it's the middle of the night but it's not, it's morning. People are out delivering papers and walking their dogs and starting work for the day. I am a little bit sleep deprived and being as i'm the only person online at the moment I feel the need to talk some bollocks. Have any of you worked nightshift? It's not fun, is it? It totally knocks your body clock out of sync if it's just a one off shift.
Last night I went to the pub before I started work, and met up with my friend who is back from Uni but she goes home tomorrow. It's a shame, I really miss her. Three years ago we were celebrating new year, and we were very close friends at the time. We were dancing and singing in the streets in the snow, and we nearly kissed. But we didn't. For the last three years I have wondered what would have happened had we kissed. I'm not sure. But I know that I regret it. Even today. How pathetic is that? Last night when I saw her she gave me the biggest hug I've ever been given and it was the best feeling ever. It's all very confusing I have to admit. Maybe I should go sleep. But I have to wait til Tesco opens so I can spend all my christmas money on the cheap DVD's. (£15 for the first series of Cheers, £15 for the first series of Frasier, £5 for Ghostbusters. That's a bargain.) I've also taken the keys to the shop home with me by mistake so I should better hand them back aswell. I also need to buy coffee, cheese, and other things which escape me at this moment. I hope everyone is having fun whatever you are doing. Goodnight, or whatever. gord. |

a one off night shift is the worst thing ever. the day i worked nightshift i also worked my usual 5 hour shift, so that was a 13 hour shift aswell as all day at college. a full 24hours i was up that day. then walked home which took about 25 mins.

I'm doing my first nightshift on Monday night. Gotta stay up all night cause I got a Celtic Civ exam the next day
Any tips on how I can stay awake? And don't say coffee, cause that just makes me sleep. ![]() |
