On a different note - a move to the premeirship for Celtic and Rangers would be ideal. Celtic's flawless form this season shows they would more than match the standard of the English game. Little can be said for their blue counterpart however. Celtic have one of the largest fan-bases in the world (check it out if ya don't believe me) and im sure that within a few seasons they would be just as well-know, supported and rich as Manchester United. Then who knows, maybe on one weed-fueled Mr O'Neil will decide to share his new-found wealth with other Scottish clubs...

To kj's point, if you played the Scottish national anthem to Sellic fans, they'd sing the Irish national anthem over it but Rangers fans accept they are actually part of the UK and respect it (diehard Scotland fan that i am). Well, Celtic really shouldn't have got the result against United on Saturday, so they can't be all that good. There is no legislating for playing teams with a twelfth man (the ref). United were denied a stonewall penalty when big Bobo handled the ball in the box. Funny that the ref turned a blind eye to that, then gave the little mink Petrov a penalty (what a surprise). Also, just another point on referees, I was at the United v Hibs game at Tannadice. Charlie Miller was fouled in the box, but tried to play on and not go down, even though it was a foul and there was no advantage. The ref didn't give a pen, and when asked about it, he said if Miller went down he would have given it. Does that mean that ref's are encouraging players to cheat?? Sounds like it to me. I wonder what odds the bookies would give you for getting a penalty at Ibrox or Parkhead? 1000-1 maybe?? It would be funny to see Celtic and Rangers go down to the Premiership. Rangers would get humped every week, and Celtic couldn't hope for more than a top 10 finish I'd say.

Aye that about says it all, the Gattuso one really frustrates me as he was fucking perfect for the scottish game and got stuck right in and he had skill to boot. But fuck it these things work in cycles and it wont be long before were champs again and it will no longer be trendy to be a sellic fan.

i agree with the fact that without rangers and celtic the scottish game would be excellent entertainment.i hate celtic and rangers,the majority of celtic and rangers fans i know have been to maybe 2 or 3 games,buy themselves a strip and call themselves die hard fans? hmmm.
ive supported dundee united since i was 3 years old,been through all the shite years of pathetic preformances but still go every week i can,home or away.
imagine if celtic and rangers starting losing every week,hmm how many fans would they loose? loads.glory hunters.

Aye, everyone moans at Advocaat but think about beatin Celtic by 19 points in the league, that famous 3-0 when we won the league, beating Sturm Graz 5-0- they were good days. However, it is a shambles just now.

but seriously, its not that rangers don't have the potential in there team, theres a lot of good players there. An Mcleish can manage a team too. I reckon its due to both too many new players not gelling well, and the clubs financial status. Alot of fans seem to loose interest in the club while others still saty true during hard times. I think theyl sort it out soon tho - its not as if the old firms never been a one sided duo before - i mean, both teams have done 9 in a row. its only a matter of time, possibly...

I think i may have the answer to Rangers problems. Maurice Ross has been struggling at left back but i reckon if we buy Roberto Carlos in his place it would create a more attacking threat on the left flank and we would be more dangerous at free kicks.
