girly proposing day. if you want to cal it that.

what do you think?

a friend of mine was going to do it. she's got a bit scared now that it's so near though.

i have complete respect for anyone who would do it, but i couldn't. 25% not got the guts + 75% me being old fashioned + saying that's the man's job. along with my can't ask a guy out or say i love you first thing. although those 2 are more 50/50 between guts + me being old fashioned.

I think it's bollocks. I don't care what day of the year it is, I think it's as much a chick's responsibility/decision/whatever to do as it is a bloke's.

yeh i didn't mean that day in particular, but it was on my mind cos she was talking about it at work today.

hmmmmm.....yeah I would do it any day i fancied, but then on the other hand there is something romantic if a guy does it and you know nothing about it...that is only if you want to get engaged otherwise it is just damn horrid!!!!

Lindsay... if it's a man's job to propose, why do women complain when you tell them to do the dishes, it's a woman's job.

I had a convo the the other day with a girl i work with - Carol this is how it went.

Carol: it's the 29th of Feb soon

Me: uh huh

Carol: So are you proposong?

Me: Am I proposing what?

Carol: to your man!

Me: That will be chocolate!

If i were to do it on a leap year it won't be this 29th Feb anyway and I agree, girls don't just have to wait til the 29th of Feb to come round they could do it anytime they wanted to. I think I'd rather be asked tough, I wouldnt have the guts to do it.

I probably could propose if I was 100% sure he was gonna say yes and if I was gonna do it I would do it when I wanted to, not just on the 29th. Although having said that I would probably rather be proposed to I guess, it's just the big ol' fashioned romantic in me
