Right basically, after all this stuff about under 18s and over 18s cage...

Why if you're under 18 does any club you want to go to have to finish at 10?
Why are you not allowed to have fun afterthat time?
Why should we get treated so differently?

I know there are laws and all that and fair enough under 16s should be prevented for being out so long or something, but by the time you're 16 there's fuck all to do and you want to be able to do stuff, not necessarily drink, just to be out and have something to do past 10 oclock at night.

I think the licensing laws play a huge part, but there's also the business side of it. Over 18 clubs don't start filling up till 11pm or something and the clubs are just getting a little extra business earlier in the evening with the under 18's. But where they make all the profit is with the over 18's drinking. Any club would struggle if it kept to under 18's only.

but we dont want it to be under 18's at all. The whole point that is being made is that we think it would be better if certain clubs could be over 14's instead of expecting us to leave at around 10 oclock so that over 18's can then get in. If it was a mixture of all ages 14+ it would make much more sense. In my oppinion.

[edit] Also you cant expect all our friends to be unders too as truth is most of them arent so by making an over 18's club we would then be seperated from our friends. Which i dont find to be particularly fair.

but have u ever been in a club atmosphere? when a clubs packed out and everyones at the bar trying to get drinks how are they going to distinguish between under and over 18's if they're all in the one place? it wouldnt work and places would get closed down for selling underagers.so they invented these under 18 nights to try and make younger people happy.
the only option would be to have wristband policy like they do at king tuts,where everyone over 18 gets a wristband where they can buy drinks,but that would be loads of hassle in a club i recon.

under 18's can't legally drink, nightclubs make their money from selling alchohol, and I don't think they'd be too keen on going out of business so you can party after 10, sorry Hazel. I'll tell you who LOVE making a living out of under 18s though; fake ID companies.

The wrist band thing happened once or twice at the cotton club too. Seemed to work quite well. And there is also the stamp thing or you can get different colours of pen etc.

Fair enough, but then you've got 14 year old girls getting chatted up by drunk men, not to mention wandering about waiting on taxi's in the town centre at 3am with loadsa weirdo's going about.
Dundee has one of the most strict licensing boards going.
