Abortion - Your Views

Serious topic! Me and the delightful Chickadee were having just convo on msn about abortion. It's a kinda touchy subject really. What are other peoples (not just chicks) views on it? Agree ? Disagree? Would you have one if you found out you were pregnant now?

i know there are alot of people against it, sometimes its necessary tho..like maybe if a woman got raped and got pregnant and didnt want it. i agree with it overall i think

I agree. If you don't want to have a baby and you get pregnant by mistake. You're not obligated to keep it.

Yeah, I would say I'm for it as well. I know for a fact I'm no way mature enough to be responsible for the upbringing of a human being just now. I'm far too selfish to be honest.

Although, I've read arguments from people against abortion saying they think it's a bad idea beause it might make people not as responsible when it comes to contraception -'no condoms? oh what the hell' kinda thing.....a month later -'aww shit I've missed my period, oh it's okay, I'll just have an abortion'. I've read about girls having several abortions this way. It's weird, I think it's worse to have an abortion because of that, rather than say because the condom broke or whatever.

Although, saying that I still totally agree with having an abortion. It's up to the person/people involved to decide what they want to do.

people go on about how its killing a living thing thats as maybe but if say the mother couldnt cope or bring it up properly it would have an awful life i think. yeah i agree with it, its up to the mother and no one else

I'm pro-choice but anti-abortion.

I don't believe in it and would never have one myself, but I think a woman should be able to do what she wants to her own body legally.

if I was pregnant now, I would abort, it would be the best thing to do, I'm living at home, I just quit uni, I have no job, it'd be shit.

when my bf and I are married and ready emotionally and financially, that's when I'll have a kid, until then, no.

I'm pro choice, I believe it's up to the woman to make the choice, I'd rather an abortion was regretted than a child.

I'm totally with you. I can hardly look after myself at the mo never mind a small person.

There's a program on on Tuesday (I think) about abortion and i think it's actually gonna show one being done. It might be a bit queamish to watch but I'm still going to. Maybe some of you should watch it as well to see if it'll change our minds in anyway.

I dunno what I'd do if my girlfriend got pregnant the now.
We've been going out for over 2 years so I'd let her have the choice, and if she wanted to keep it then I wouldn't mind 'cos I'd be an ace dad.

if i got anyone pregnant, then i'd probably let them choose whether they wanted to keep it or not, and i'd support them no matter what choice they made

but at the end of the day, i think it'd be worse to let a child grow up in an unloved environment. for example, it almost makes me sick hearing about babies being born addicted to heroin...

I am totally in favour of abortion, although I think those stupid bitch women should stop getting themselves accidentally pregnant and having to make the taxpayer pay for their mistakes.

Of course, this is probably just my racist, right-wing point of view I guess...
