The degree show

did anyone go to this? or was anyone graduating this year?

i went and really enjoyed it! there was one and i cant remember the name of the artist but it was a woman, she had 2 tvs on chairs and she had video-taped herself on each tv and they were having a conversation with each other. one of the stories she was telling was about when her and a girlfriend wanted to get it up the ass, so she got a hot dog and shoved it up her girlfriends bum, then it suddenly went up! i think that was it but i cant really remember because i wasnt expecting to hear anything like that!

There's another thread about it here.

The wonderfully talented Mr Fraser Stewart (Fritz) graduated and was displaying work. His stuff was really good.

I went along a couple of times and saw a lot of things i liked. Im too tired to be any less vague about it now! Sorry.

I missed it I woke up at about 2pm on Friday all hungover and thought, bugger, no chance I can go. Saw quite a lot of the work anyway around about uni. I really liked the girl who did all the big, bold paintings of legs with pants down and stuff

it was good, but not as good as previous years i must admit....one girl had done all her art work based on a fictional childrens story she had written,it was called 'cupboard love' it was really cool....there was another cool painting of a cow on a pink moon with a pink dodgem floating on the moon...that caught my eye.....

i liked this one too. my mum was going too buy one of the pictures like this for our new house, but she decided she would have nowhere to put it untill we could put it up. besides, dont think the family would approve.

it was a very good show, and i enjoyed it very much

there was a lot of good work in the fine art this year. there was a video playing on a wall where a girl was laying naked with the image of Christ on the cross was superimposed over her, that was really nice. the research work and ideas were a load of balls though

I liked the idea behind all those paintings but I thought the finished pieces were quite sloppy.
