But maybe theres things stopping you seeing them a lot because they live in somewhere like Forfar or Montrose? Just because its not FAR far doesnt mean you see them much... Which could make it hard on them.

me and my boyfriend have been 300 miles apart for 3 weeks now. i know that's not long. i get to see him in 9 days and i cannot wait. then we're apart for a month again, then another 2 days together, then another month, then he's back in glasgow.
we talk reguarly, but not every day, which is probably the best thing because it means you're excited when you hear from them, but not boring each other. i also really really trust him (and i'm NOT a trustworthy person when i'm in a relationship at all usually) and there's no way in a million years i would cheat on him. also i guess it helps that i know if either of us needed to, we could be with each other within 24 hours. but without trust and that feeling of longing to be with the other person, i don't think it could work/ but this was just an extended way of saying what alex said - they can work if you want them to. |

I wouldn't start a long term relationship out of nowhere, if I'd been in a long term relationship where the other person had to move away for a while I'd try to make it work.
unless they were moving to be away from me... |
