Avenue Q
anyone heard about this? Its a musical on Broadway, won 4 Tony Awards
"Avenue Q is the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who comes to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account. He soon discovers that the only neighborhood in his price range is Avenue Q; still, the neighbors seem nice. There's Brian the out-of-work comedian and his therapist fianceé Christmas Eve; Nicky the good-hearted slacker and his roommate Rod--a Republican investment banker who seems to have some sort of secret; an Internet addict called Trekkie Monster; and a very cute kindergarten teaching assistant named Kate. And would you believe the building's superintendent is Gary Coleman?!? (Yes, that Gary Coleman.) Together, Princeton and his newfound friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life." The whole show is does using puppets that are in the style of Sesame Street and the Muppets. had a look at the songs that are in the show and they are hilarious...with titles such as: "What do you do with a B.A. in English?" "It sucks to be me" "If you were gay" "Everybodys a little bit racist" "Im not wearing underwear today" http://www.avenueq.com/videoclips.html Last edited by Monkey : 30th July 2004 at 04:47 PM. |

i'd love to go to a musical on broadway. Those puppets look exactly like the style of Sesame street, i wonder if they are made by the same people. And Gary Coleman! omg! I wonder how long it is running for.
