Shoes
so, my friend and i were talking about shoes
quite normal for two young girls you'd think she seems to think however having lots of expensive shoes is a lot better than having a few pairs of cheap shoes i often buy a pair of shoes that i love and wear them to death. i'm alway skint so the cheaper the better - my friend seems to think this is terrible and that i should buy more expensive shoes - which i wreck just as quickly. i cannot justify doing this. she actually got me into trouble and offered to buy me a "nice" pair of shoes for my birthday! what do you girls (or guys) think? do you have a shoe 'cycle'? |

I tend to wear shoes to death, then keep wearing them. I just add and add to my shoes if + when i can
I'm loathed to throw any pair away because they can always be worn that one more time! |

When I get an *exciting* new pair of shoes (rather than a *serviceable* new pair of shoes), I instantly start panicking about what I'll do when they wear out and whether or not I should maybe buy an extra pair just in case. I've only actually gone ahead and bought a spare pair a few times though as I also hang onto my shoes until they really can't go one further step. I have a pair in the loft with a snapped heel but I'm keeping them in case someone invents a cure in the future.

if you are going to buy a classy, basic pair of shoes that you can wear with a lot of things, buy an expensive pair that won't fall apart or hurt your feet. if you're going to buy a pair to go with one outfit or in a certain season's style, buy cheap ones.

My shoes have jobs. Nice shoes for work/interviews. Old army boots for working in the garden, or walking long ways. Shoes for cycling, running shoes, and my scabby trainers.
Shoes for wearing with a kilt. Sandals for if it's too hot for shoes. Thats the only shoes I have, any more would just be far too many. I thought I needed new trainers, but then I just used some duct tape on them, and they're fine now. Should prolong their life by another 4 years. The most I spent was £70 on the nice shoes, but It was for my birthday, so Mum had paid for most of them. E |

Brown leather Converse.
Not to be confused with canvas high-tops. DMs or ex-army utility boots for bad weather or if i need to pay someone a ' little visit ' . Adidas for work as more often than not i need to run like a bastard to save some old fuckers life. Bare feet for sunny beaches and around the house......oh and showering! |

I've got 6 pairs of shoes, 5 for wearing whenever an 1 for work.
I buy shoes when I see some I like, but there's usually a reason for it, like, these shoes would go with those trousers, or whatever. |

I have one pair of trainers, they cost a tenner. And one pair of boots, which cost 15 quid.
Fuck paying 60 - 100 quid for brand name trainers that fall apart just as quickly as cheapy ones. |
