Anyone got a student account with the rbs ?
Did you get a switch card automatically, or did you have to apply for it seperately ?

actually i had a switch card before i had a student account. if they don't automatically send you a card when you turn 18 or join the bank (+ i may be wrong, but i don't know of any banks that do) then i don't see why they would otherwise

actually i am talking shite, i was a student way before i turned 18. but still, plenty people have switch before student a/c

I only just opened my account on tuesday, I'm a student, and I'm 19, so any idea what I'm likely to get ?

I know they're sending me a cheque book, and that you need a cheque guarantee card for that, which means you need a highline card, which is a switch card, but I'm still not sure ...

i had a cheque book way before i had a highline card which was incredibly stupid. rbs are quite good though, apart from when they take ages to send you a replacement card/pin number. we also tend to get paid before everyone else as happened to me on friday. everyone else in my work gets paid on tuesday

i put in my application for my switch card 5 months ago, and i got it last month. I've come close to leaving the rbs several times.
