im sorry to be starting lots of threads in the girlies board

i called nhs direct to ask for information on this but they wouldnt help because im not a girl

i was slightly offended by that but....

anyhoo.....

i know side effects of the pill can be that the hormone boost that they give you can make you more moodswingy and heighten emotion.

when girls stop taking the pill.. can this make them feel flat and emotionless?

it can make them feel a whole lot better, as if they've got a new lease of life.

the pill effects everyone in different ways. i was on one that made me feel really depressed, i ended up crying all the time and doing nothing. although it started out with me just being snappy. but now i'm on a new one, but i've only been for 2 days, so we shall see how it goes. it can kill some girls sex drive though.

Is there any male equivalent yet? is there any in development or testing?

haha, that's my opinion exactly on the pill!

the is a male one, i think, but really, i'm not going to trust any man to take a pill at the same time every day. especially not my dizzy boyfriend.

since it can affect different people in different ways... If you know a chick who is feeling flat and emotionless and has just come off the pill, it could be related.
