Viking Burial Found

Today it was announced to the papers, tv and radio of a viking burial found in Cumbria, England. It's the first actual burial site in England to be found, ever.

The initial find was a tortoise brooch found by Peter Adams. Later a second one was found and soon the English heritage was involved creating a huge excavation. Eventually 6 burials were found with swords, an axe boss and more. It's said to be the biggest discovery in the UK in 100 years!

The story will be in the Guadrian, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror and more tomorrow (Wed) with images & large articles. There's been radio coverage on BBC 2, 4, 5 and Cumbria. Its also on the news and with a special appearance from Pete Adams on Richard & Judy on Thurs.

Pretty important stuff about the UK history and will re-write our history books.

Wow, that was pretty interesting. Unfortunately, I had to stop reading because I painted my walls earlier and am having too much fun watching them dry.
