Ebay question

hello,

I just got an email from ebay saying my "Seller Fee's" were overdue.

I have only ever sold one item on ebay and it was months ago, now they want £5 a month!

Is this a dodgy scam, or some shitty small print?
If so, anyone know how to cancel the seller section of your account?

I just sold something too and they've mentioned sellers fee's and charged me 30p or so by direct debit, but I thought it wouldnt continue unless I kept selling ...

All I can say is, don't click on the links in the email, check your ebay account manually, and see if it says anything. I know nothing about ebay, but it sounds like bullshit to me. My understanding is that sellers fees are just taken as a percentage of any sale you make.

I sell stuff on ebay all the time the e-mail you got is a scam you only get charged for what you sell.
I nearly fell for a scam like that before where I got an email saying I had become a power seller and to confirm my details with ebay by using a link.
but to become a power seller you need feedback of 98% good and mine is 95% so kinda worked that one out.

There's a few scam Ebay and Paypal e-mails doing the rounds. Either delete them or pass them on to the relevant help sections on those sites. My workmate Steve sent one on to Ebay's help site and they confirmed it's dodginess.

I got an email a few weeks back saying $268 had been deducted from my paypal account from some seller i'd never heard of. Then it gave me a link to follow if i hadn't authorised it. I just left it though, It's just a bunch of people trying to get bank details i think.

Just forward it to the ebay/paypal help address and they will tell you if it's fake or not.
