percussion is hilarious/rubbish

Why do people not rock tambourines/sleighbells/maracas more in hardcore? is it time for change? oh yes. if its good enough for Tim Kinsella...

I hope you're not being sarcastic. I play percussion and it's a lot more than "shaking a tambourine" and "hitting a drum". It annoys me when people think this. If you were being serious then fair enough, but i doubt this very much.
*sighs*
glad to have got that off my chest...

Yeah, like, in orchestras the percussionist has a little space surrounded by instruments, and he runs all around beating and shaking and shit. Theres a lot to it.

i dunno if he really meant it in that way guys :s or did you? notice he said there should be more percussive instruments in 'hardcore'
sounds like a joke to me although i reckon any hardcore band wanting more fans (yeah, right) should definately start using a vibraslap, those things are quality

another bitter percussionist huh? I kinda realised after i'd posted that hilarious and rubbish are not polar opposites, no offence meant! And yeah, it was kind of a joke. And yeah, i did mean in hardcore, i guess its just a need for progression. Obviously not a shift from the general aesthetic just fresh ideas. Starting with a tambourine. OH YES!
