Liverpool vs Everton is 10x better to watch than the Old Firm anyday.Scottish football is bland,boring and repetitive.

It's not illegall to have an opinion but when you make stupid comments you have to expect people to challenge you on them - thus provoking discussion, hence the point of the forums. But yes I mean you can't beat an Old Firm game for some excitement. Personally I love a few sendings off and a bit of controversy. Adds a bit of spice. Obviously I could do without the sectarian element of it but its going to be hard to get rid of that. Anyway I thought the CIS game in particular was fine entertainment.

I must SERIOUSLY disagree with this statement. Old Firms are full of passion and burning desire to win rarely seen elsewhere in football world-wide. Ok, the football's not the best in them, but that's not the point, eh? Give me that over 2 teams that were formerly great but are now struggling to relive past glories. Mersey derby might have been geart 20 years ago, but still will NEVER be a patch on the Old Firm.

no derby is/or ever wiil be greater than the oldest one in football history, just look at the passion, the exitement, the venues etc......the old firm has the biggest audience around the world mate, rangers and celtic are 2 of the biggest names in football, there known all around the world no-matter wot country ure in, there will be rangers and celtic supporters clubs and bars in all of them!!!

anymate, away n wotch yir merseyside derbys, ill just stick with the oldest, most intense derby in the world!!

Yeah I can see all the folk in Japan stopping watching the Sumos,the Australians coming out the waves with their boards and the Americans switching off the NBA/NFL/NHL to watch the Old Firm........

Actually I'll stick to not watching football,got much better things to do than watch a ball and 22guys for 90mins.

*edit*not on any drugs,I don't need anything to have an opinion,just because I see things differently doesn't make it wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually the old Firm are a big deal worlwide. You only have to look at how many fans from different countries were in Seville for the celtic Game. Theres Celtic and Rangers clubs all over the world - including Japan, where they stay up to mad hours to watch games. And when I was in brussels we met a guy from arizona who couldn't wait to come to glasgow so he could watch an old firm game. So yes this is a worldwide famous derby. I doubt severely I would meet anybody in Brussels who wouldn't wait to go to liverpool for a derby.
