bleach and hair

okay. i am now blonde. but not as blonde as i would like.

i have bleached my hair 3 times. if i keep bleaching my hair will get lighter. confirm/deny.

it's not in terrible condition either. it was in ace condition to start with and i think that helped. but my scalp is itchy now

but i guess that's what happens when you bleach it 3 times in 24 hours.

advice/stories plz.

If the problem is that it still has quite a yellow, brassy colour to it, you can buy toner which will help a bit.

It's usually marketed for white hair that's a bit manky-coloured and it's lilac. Plenty of the usual high street hair dye brands have these toners and SFX make one too.

The more you bleach it the lighter it gets, but it can get pretty damaged. It's weird, some people can bleach their hair loads and loads and it stays fine but then someone else can do it once and totally wreck their hair. I'd wait a wee bit before you bleach it again, but condition it loads before you do it.

You should get toner too like other people have said, it does make a difference to the colour.

You get good protein stuff for bleached hair but you've got to be careful you don't use them too often because they can sometimes damage your hair. If there's a Sallys near you, you could buy the Ion range, that's what I've got + use and it's great. My hair is bleached + pink and it goes through constant straightening + heat and it's still in good condition

my friend used to bleach her hair, but um it all started breaking and falling out
shes a hairdresser so no - oh she must just be stupid - comments, she dyed it when roots were needing done.
and she conditioned it well, just depends on how brittle your hair is anyway apparently.
hope all goes well tho! in failing that - visit a good salon, they'll be able to fix it.
