Reading rooms question

A mate of mine says that he saw a sign outside reading rooms saying regulars only. Whats that all about i the place so busy its one in one out

I've no idea mate, I saw the sign last week and though "hmm, good job im a regular" then i walked in and i didnt recognise half the people there.

To be honest i think it's just there to keep someone sweet, if you catch my drift(er). If you go to the rooms, you'll probably get in.

Hope I get in tried to go before and the guy said regulars only well annoying

Perhaps someone complained about the number of underage people going so they put up a sign to make it look like they're screening people a little better. Thats waht i meant

Then again though - they could have actually changed their policy to regulars only...

Well.. I tried to go last night, and got told regulars and members only. So my mate tried to climb over the wall

But in all fairness, how do they expect people to become a regular when they wont let anyone new in.

Was it cos I said I was gonna go, its some big conspiracy.

I ended up having to go to London. Poor me.
But I met some guy with a nice ZZ Top beard from new Zealand.

members and regs so no more bother, i left at 12 and saw lots of ppl not gettin in,but to be fair they were under age chancers. its good theyre cleaning the place up tho and being more strict, gives the place more chance of staying open.

ie will i get in when there's a gig or will i have to be a "member"?

Imaginably this will not be the case for ticketed events.

The members thing is something the RRs have always been toying with the idea of, members being able to sign in non-members apparently, a la the Union. I'm not sure if it'll be fully implemented this time, I haven't heard anything of it except for that sign the other week.

There's been loads of fresh faces at felt. I barely recognise half the folk.

Also if the members thing goes ahead... how do you become one?

Tried searching for a post AGES ago I made which included a membership application. It's basically a short form, you give them a passport photo or 2 and that's that. Doesn't cost anything. That's IF it goes ahead I guess, and as I say, I've never heard anything of it this time round.
