That Sudan 1 stuff
You know how there's this big "food scare" cos this illegal red dye has got into lots of stuff...

Anyone know more about the stuff? like how dangerous it is, why it's illegal? when it was made illegal and how much it was used before then?

apparently it causes a greater cancer risk and is in lots of things like pot noodles

i thought it was a food colourant

it's not

sudan 1 is used in furniture polish and floor wax so it'd imagine it to be a bit dangerous if you ate it

No offence, but you realise that's like saying "My friend died, but he didn't drink rat poison, therefore drinking rat poison doesn't cause death". Unless I've misunderstood what you meant.

Or, to be more relevant, "My friend got cancer, but he wasn't exposed to radiation, so therefore claims that radiation causes cancer are utter pish"
