Well people get put in hospitals all the time for anorexia and bullemia.
That's no different really, the fact he can't stop eating is an eating disorder in my opinion.
Still... it is a bit sad to have to have dragged him.
I hope he gets better.

No he doesn't, he has a physical problem which prevents his body from signalling that he's not hungry. It's entirely different from having a mental problem. I take it you didn't see the documentary he took part in then?

No way should he have been sectioned. He's not mentally ill. Besides which, if a mentally sound person wants to eat themselves to death, then it should be no business of the state.

Firstly, it's not the same as anorexia or bulimia.
Secondly, he can't get better, he has an incurable physical condition which causes him to be constantly hungry.

He can lose weight if he stops eating, like anyone else, but unless they invent a cure, he will never be able to stop feeling hungry.
