Tony Blair in Dundee

ok, all the bins in the city centre and vacinity have been removed, there is polis everywhere, yesterday the secret service were in the council offices snooping around. what the fuck is going on? surely its bluntly obvious that by this level of security, that Blair is not carrying out his role of representing the people of the UK, and that people are insecure about having him as a leader, leading to his personal security being a threat wherever he goes in this country. that should not happen. we should have an elected representative who we can trust and put faith in.

i received an email this week from a protest group claiming to have proof that Blair has already signed the UK up to support attacks on Iran and Syria. it makes me think that this general election is going to be a farce, i mean, if ousted by another party, will that party then be able to reverse this descision if there is truth in it?

Surely if you're the best person for the job, you'll get the job regardless of whether asylum seekers are going for it or not. If you're not, then tough shit, work harder or get a better education.

I really don't see what the fuss is all about. If you work hard and do your job well, you've nothing to worry about really.

I don't see what this has to do with faith in Blair. They would most likely have that level of security, regardless of who was prime minister. I really don't see the problem in taking precautions like removing bins from the city center.

What do expect them to do, give some nutjob/nutjobs a perfect opportunity to assassinate the prime minister?

LOL sorry, someone assassinated the prime minister, but hey look at the bright side, at least we didn't remove any of the bins from the city center lol

i just can`t remember maggie thatcher or john major getting such treatement, i think people have every right to want to assisinate blair and this just seems to be reflected with the levels of security following him.

Baz man, Thatcher had mental levels of security, remember the IRA mortared Downing Street when she was PM. Also she needed a shitload of security because of the poll tax as well. I think any leader would get that kind of security regardless, when the Queen visited Dundee there was shitloads of police and loads of streets were shut not because people were so lacking in faith in her that they were going to try and kill her, just because it's standard procedure.

If you thinks that's bad wait till you see the fucking carnival that the G8 summit will be in a couple of months.

it's standard security procedure for any high level dignitary even the sewers get checked and sealed.
if you want to cause disruption take a wheelie bin into the town centre just before he arrives
