kets be honest here, if i was to quit college and just sign on and stop looking for a job i could get my council tax paid for me and my rent paid for me. i would have less money, but i might just decide to get my girlfriend pregnant thus being able to claim for a lot more benefits and then i would have a lot more money.

your better off on benefits that in a minimum wage job (obviously dependant on your lifestyle). thats part of the problem.

surely the simple answer here would be to reduce sign on amounts and increase job finding programs?

vandalism of clubs and pubs etc pisses me off because what the fuck will the vandals do when the club/pub has to close down because they can no longer afford to constantly redecorate/fix things? hang about on street corners, in parks?

oh, and shite-puss, you forgot to mention the rise of paedophilia (sp) and rapes and the fact that children as young as 9 are being charged with sex attacks (see the courier yesterday). fucking hell.

I completely agree with you Grassie, Its shocking. I was walking down the road with jim at New Year minding our own business and a couple of young guys threw two tins of beer right at my head at some force. For no reason. They are little bastards. I've lost count of the amount of cheek and abuse i've had from kids even when i've been on my own! It really hit home when i watched that programme about Happy Slapping then saw in the papers a week ago that a young boy had been beaten up and the kids filmed him die on their phones. Its a scary place out there now and it is definately a lot worse than it was before. The areas i used to hang about weren't great but they are 100times worse with cheeky violent kids. Its not looking good

i used to think that violence was the answer. that what we really needed was someone hard as fuck to boot the shit out of anyone (old or young) that behaved like an arsehole in public. i know thats not realistic, i was thinking about some form of system to punish idiots that ruin our towns etc that is a lot harder on them. like taking away their benefits and stuff.
