The Moon Landing Hoax

i put this in Bollocks as it has been talked to death before, but seeing the programme tonight about it again reminded me there are 4 things i never saw answers for.

1. Why the exact same background appeared on a video image of the moon lander (which never moved) and a rocky foreground.

2. How some of the crosshairs (which were on the lense and therefor on top of every photo) came to be covered up by various objects (the flag, an astronaut's arm, a capsule, a rock etc)

3. How they survived the Van Allen Radiation Belt (the Appollo Missions were the only manned flights to ever penetrate it

4. How there happens to be a series of crators near the Roswell Airforce Base that, when viewd from above, is identical to an ariel shot of craters on the moon.

Yes! Watched this tonight too on the sci-fi channel and I am convinced it was a hoax.

er, its an effect of the type of camera that was used, thats been well explained decades ago

Seconding the *sigh*

Denying the moon landing is no more rational than denying evolution or gravity.

I have one question. Given that the dust in videos of the moon landing, behaves as it would in a low-gravity vaccuum, something that would be completely impossible to fake on earth, how could the moon landing have been faked?

This is one that I can remember without looking it up. Travelling through the van allen belt at the speed that they did, you wouldn't get a lethal dose of radiation. It would however, make them more likely to contract cancer in the future.

Plus they timed it such that their path would lead them through a thin area of the belt, and they were in it for less than half an hour, and they were exposed to about the same radiation level as a couple of chest xrays.

I'm not going to source it but look it up, the wiki article on the moon hoax is not bad and is referenced with citations, and it deals with all the points you raised if I remember right.

^^ I think that's going to need to be explained

They sped the film up last night to show how it could have been filmed in earth's gravity then just slowed down to look like the moon.
Also, their suits were not designed to protect them from the extremely high radiation levels in space, nor was the capsule, yet they emerged looking like they had come from a movie set

Where is the massive crater below the capsule created when it landed? Or the fact that when they took off again not a blast from an engine was in sight, they just glided smoothly up.
I doubt the discrepancies in shadow angles can be explained by the curve of the moon, as they were far too close together for a planetary curve to explain why they're all at different angles, and still don't accept the explanation for the camera cross marks being covered by various objects in different pictures.

yeah but which one is which? And where were they sourced from. When you said identical I thought you meant from above. If one of these is from inside a military base what was the source of them. In other words is there any reason to believe both of these are not from the moon landing film?

I think the point is that both these shots are in the moon landing film, but in one the capsule has mysteriously disappeared even though the capsule never moved whilst on the moon's surface.
Also, another point I've just remembered from the programme, how come when they are in complete shadow (only light source being the sun when on the moon) and thus the sun is behind them, you can see their suits in every detail despite them being in "pitch dark". it really does seem like there are other light sources being used
