Regardless of however easy he was, surely if he is capable of standing and giving speeches for the NRA, he's capable of airing his views? which is what i assume was Moore's reasoning.... |

Moore acted like a bully in order to get a nice crowd-pleaser. And Moore's membership of the NRA is moot. He was debating their behaviour at the top level, he could have easily went for someone with all their faculties intact. He went for the easy-target money-shot, because he's a cock. |

He didn't go for the easy target. He went for the man at the top. How hard can it be to understand that.

moore was not a dick for doing that, if heston showed any remorse what-so-ever you would not be using the "illness" excuse, asking questions is fair play, asking to race a 1 legged man is a bit different in my book.

And even if he was the man at the top and was running anything he had Alzheimer's disease for christ's sake!! Moore KNEW THIS. Of course he was an easy target. I don't understand why someone wouldn't take that fact and rise above getting their silly little, facile "documentary" denouement. Tell me, would you go after an ailing, frail, intellectually crippled man to prove a point he was largely incapable of arguing against, or would you go for the man in the same position who was in possession of all of his faculties? What's the more reasonable thing to do? What's the more ethical thing to do? If Moore wanted to talk about some of the things Heston had said, fine, air some old footage. To go to his house and interrogate him, knowing his condition, was bullying, there's no two ways about it. I'd say the same if it was Hitler or Thatcher or Ming the Merciless. |

Maybe I just don't think that there is any point whatsoever in healthy people interrogating other human beings with brain-wasting diseases about issues of their past, or things they might have said. What's the point? What's to be gained? Do you think there's any good to come from questioning him? Heston was a dick and a bully. Moore is a dick and a bully. |
